butterfly

Many times I see or create cards that have a lot of layers on them. Sometimes you just don’t want to try to send something that is so thick. I am a fan of the borders but if you don’t want to use that much paper, remember that with minimal layers and the right stamps you can create very awesome, yet lighter cards. This one uses the new stamp background watercolor wash from the 2015-2016 annual catalog. It looks like I used a paint brush but it was stamp. I took the Butterfly Basics and added layers of stamps. It adds dimension without the weight. I did do some layering with the banner and added the butterfly as a little something extra. I love that this set has the matching framelits. I have yet to use the bigger butterflies yet but it’s on my to-do list.
