A paper-less project

clay

So I finally jumped in and tried the Simply Pressed Clay from Stampin’ Up. I was a long time hold out because I just didn’t see what I would want with it. But boy did I think wrong. This was so much fun to play with. I cut out various shapes using my son’s play-doh cut outs and tried various techniques. This ornament was the only one that really turned out after coloring. I can totally see me doing a class with ornament making shortly. I stamped the image with the sentiment from Work of Art but I made sure to give it a light dusting with my embossing buddy so that there wasn’t clay stuck in between the small letters. I did put a drop of elegant eggplant in with the dough and kneaded it into a purple prior to cutting. After I waited 24 hours I daubered on a little bit of ink to give it that speckled look. And of course had to add bling. The purple ribbon isn’t Stampin’ Up but it was what I had laying around that would match. There are so many possibilities with this. I may use more of my son’s molds to create some more 3-d items for various decor.
