Scraps AND Recycling

Project one of my “Cut the Scrap”challenge. I had a weekend of creative overload so have so many great projects to share.

I found this interesting Pinterest pin about gluing dryer sheets to your projects. I was kind of skeptical but I like the softer look it gives the flowers. As a bonus, it holds Dazzling Diamonds nicely. Even just touching it is fun. Make sure it is a used dryer sheet since they will be more see through. After putting the flowers on, I just covered the entire die cut with my glue stick, adhered, then trimmed to size. Easy! The red base is the retired Riding Hood Red but with using up scraps you will find I will use a lot of retired materials. If you don’t have those particular ones, swap it out for whatever scraps you have.  I also have a week to finish my card set for the raffle so boy this is really killing two birds with one stone. Not even the red paper was a new 8.5x 11, I have a whole stack of pre-cut bases that I am adhering to as well this challenge. The only exception? I do have a card swap to make for February which I don’t have enough of that paper in scraps to do but if it’s a stand alone card, for sure you can bet most if not all are scrap paper.
